This is actually a shockingly powerful laser pointer. First off, it takes three LR44 batteries to charge it. I was screwing around with it the other night and shot it into a neighbor’s cornfield. I could see the beam reflect off the side of his tractor barn at a range of, roughly, about a sixth of a mile. This is not exactly what you’d call normal, or natural–most laser pointers I know don’t throw anywhere NEAR this far.
