According to a report issued by Bloomberg News, Volkswagen AG saw June sales jump by six percent. The carmaker is Europe’s largest. It delivered more vehicles for the second month in a row. The sales jump is being accredited to the number of government incentives being offered. In May, sales jumped by 1.5 percent. Comparatively, six month deliverables for the vehicles dropped by 5.1 percent (due to the recession). Worldwide, the six month deliverables dropped by 18 percent.
When comparing Volkswagen sales to those of all car sales, it is clear to see the company is faring well. Global car sales were 47 million vehicles in the previous year as compared to 59 million just two years ago.
