Old, discarded tires are certainly no friends of the environment, and there’s not much that they can be put to use for. A company called TREAD has come up intelligent examples of reuse. They use discarded tires to create covers for gadgets like mobile phones, laptops, the iPod, and Solio cases.
Rubber for these cases comes from South American truck tires, each of which is analyzed and then crafted into the case that is most suitable. The cases are fabricated with cool detail, and are finished in a fine texture and stitching. They maintain the toughness of the tires and are able of withstand extreme temperatures, acids and UV rays.
