Toyota to Break Up With Prius?
According to the New York Times, Toyota wants to separate Prius from the mother ship. James E. Lentz, president of Toyota Motor Sales USA is apparently encouraging the break up. Are we going to see it happen? Well why not? We’re certainly going to see various new Prius modes so I guess the hybrid deserves to have a company of its own.
Such a move might become possible some time next month when Mr. Lentz will be meeting the big bosses in Japan. There’s nothing official yet, but why would he say anything like that if it wasn’t just a little bit true?
