Toyota Distributes $1 Million Worth of Scholarships to Students
Toyota Motors USA has given $1 Million worth of scholarships to chosen students, a move that is pretty much welcome particularly for the ones who cannot afford college today. This help is quite a big boost for students who are aspiring and aching to get a good education yet find an obstacle as far as financial support to do so due to a lot of factors.
“In these tough economic times, it is particularly rewarding to see these students having such a tremendous impact in their communities,” said Michael Rouse, TMS vice president of philanthropy and community affairs. “They are stellar examples of service and commitment and remind us all what’s really important.”
88 students were chosen from a pool of over 8,000 students who were nominated by their school for eligibility for this award. The criteria was based on students who were proven leaders both in the classroom and in their communities.
