Car enthusiasts who attended the Tokyo Auto Salon caught a great glimpse of this Toyota Corolla that was transformed into a Super GT300 race car. The said car is set to participate at the All-Japan Grand Touring Car Championship.
The body is chopped down to a sliver and set on top of a full tube frame chassis, race suspension, all motivated by a 295 HP 3.5-liter V6 and a sequential race transmission. The whole package weighs in at a scant 2,425 lbs. More importantly though, The Corolla Axio GT300 might be the first Corolla we’d consider an exciting drive since the 2001 Corolla S.
