Well, folks, it’s hard to believe, but even cars are on sale in the Black Friday shopping melee.  I know, it’s not the kind of thing you ever expect to hear, but it’s no less true for the outlandishness.

But as is the case with every sale, some deals are better than others.  And Subaru’s offering up what may be the worst deal ever–for you.

See, instead of offering a discount on their cars, what they’re offering instead is a special arrangement by which anyone who buys a car through January fourth gets two hundred and fifty dollars…

…donated to their favorite charity.

You pay full price for a car, and two hundred fifty bucks goes to a charity.  Sounds like you’d fare a whole lot better buying someone else’s deeply discounted car and donating five hundred bucks of what you saved to a charity instead.  Then the charity gets double and you still save a mint.

So sorry, Subaru–this just isn’t a deal worth hitting.
