The Kiwi MPG Reader Gives You All Sorts of Car Data

You have to love those devices that tell you, in no uncertain terms, what’s going on with your car.  Those devices that just plug right into your car’s steering column and tell you, at a glance, the average miles per gallon you’re getting, or give you at least a little better idea of what just made that check engine light kick on.

The Kiwi MPG reader plugs into the OBD II port of most vehicles made after 1996, otherwise known as, that port in the steering column.  You can then mount it anywhere in the vehicle and get a whole host of interesting facts transmitted back to you, like miles per gallon, miles per gallon per trip,  dollars of gas consumed, total fuel used, distance traveled, distance to empty, rpm, speed, coolant temperature and more.

Plus it’ll even let you clear those check engine codes, which saves you a trip to a mechanic or the auto parts store.

And for just ninety bucks, this is a pretty useful little piece of hardware.
