Seriously, folks…haven’t we pretty much outgrown joy buzzers at this point?  This is why I was pretty surprised to discover that there was a shock car key being marketed for thirty nine bucks.

Basically, it looks like a keyless entry device–has buttons for door locks and trunk popping and everything like that, plus regular keys attach to it.  The difference here, of course, is that when anybody actually activates the device, the next thing you know, bam!  They take a nasty electric shock.

It’s not a lethal shock, of course, nor is it much more than a surprise jolt, but still–the idea of a car key joy buzzer strikes me as entirely too crass for words.  And the thought of shelling out forty bucks for one of these?  Well, that’s just worse, frankly.  There are so many better things to spend forty bucks on than somebody’s sad idea of a joke.
