The BodyGard 5-In-1 Emergency Tool

Remember when we talked about the self-powered BodyGard Emergency Tool that offered all those nifty gadgets all in one hand-crank powered package?  Well, say hello to its little (and less pricey) brother, the BodyGard 5-in-1 Emergency Tool!

This sucker attaches easily to any key ring, including the ones we’ve been talking about all week from Wholesale Keychain, and offers a safety blade seat belt cutter, an LED flashlight, a sonic alarm, a flashing emergency beacon and a spring-loaded glass smasher.  It runs on one replaceable twelve volt battery and costs fifteen dollars.  You can also buy an additional visor clip for it that costs an extra two bucks so it’s never more than a few inches away from your hand at any given time.

I have to admit, I kind of like this, but I really do think that the hand-cranked version is better than this in a lot of ways and the savings really aren’t so substantial that it’d be a good move not to get the full-featured model.
