This week at the Chicago Auto Show, Ford Motor Co introduced a Super High Output (SHO) edition of its all-new 2010 Ford Taurus. The Taurus SHO will feature a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine, which will deliver an impressive 365 horsepower. The Taurus SHO also features an enhanced Select Shift six-speed automatic transmission with control paddles mounted on the steering wheel, an all-wheel drive system, and a sportier interior with more subtle exterior design cues.
The Taurus SHO will be available this summer, starting at $37,995. Ford’s decision to offer the larger engine version of its most popular and best selling sedan ever comes in the wake of strong U.S. government recommendations to focus on smaller, more fuel efficient cars and alternative forms of energy. Traditionally, Americans have extremely been slow to buy such cars, even though they get a lot of press.
