Apparently, there are a LOT of people out there who are making YouTube of themselves sounding just like a VTEC engine in which the VTEC has just kicked in.
One video features a guy going for a Honda VTEC with nothing more than his mouth and a length of pipe. The results are actually pretty awesome, and can be found in the video below.
Sure, some folks will question the value of such a video, but then, these might well be some of the same folks that would question art. After all, a painting does little good in curing cancer or solving world hunger, but it’s no less valuable.
Thus, we offer up a bit of hilarity as a VTEC engine bursts out of a man’s mouth and through a length of pipe. Maybe not exactly car news, but definitely car humor if nothing else.
Before you get all excited please note that this stands as just a rumor so take it as you will. Our friends over at the Temple of VTEC have recently been contacted by an anonymous source who hints that Honda’s Crosstour will be making its North American debut on October 26th, 2009.
The tip they recieved was the following:
26 Oct 2009 is the release date. NO 4cyl or manual trans. V6 with VCM 2WD or 4WD, 3,500lb towing. 2.5 inches taller than current Accord and 7 inches LONGER than the Venza. Accord platform for sure. They are saying it will have “power fold down seats” on the upper models. I’m not sure of the lower models. It will also have a dealer installed plastic floor cover that will allow it to be like a truck bed. I don’t know how much wider it will be than the Accord. There will be a Base 2wd, 4×4, a mid and top with Navi. Not sure if there will be RES or not. 18 inch wheels on top models along with possible power hatch. 260 plus HP.
