However it seems that this compact car may also be tipped to make the midsize category despite holding a new Ecotec 1.4L I-4 turbo with variable valve timing.

This issue stems from the fact that the Cruze offers spaciousness and amenities becoming of a midsized sedan. The Chevrolet vehicle also boasts of 10 standard airbags. Overall, the looks may point it to a compact car but gather all the features and you will agree that this should fare well in the midsized market. In the end, everything should work to the advantage of consumers who want the best deals for available cars in the market these days.

The 2011 Chevrolet Cruze has hit the market, Chevrolet’s entry into the small car segment. The 2011 Cruze will be available in two engine variants, 1.8L (4 cylinder) and 1.4L (turbocharged inline four with variable valve timing). It also boasts of a cool interior upgrade which should be modern and attractive to people looking at interior car make as well.

A bunch of goodies to go with the 2011 Cruze include Bluetooth connectivity, leather seats, USB port for audio devices, satellite navigation and 10 standard airbags. That is quite a batch of features considering this compact car may find it hard to appeal to the mass car market. The Cruze will be replacing the Cobalt.

If you live in the UK and have been dying to get your hands on one of those stylish little MINI’s but haven’t been able to justify the price point, you’re in luck. Mini has recently announced that they have launched the MINI First, a 2-door hatchback that will appear to consumers on a budget.

This car will feature a 1.4 liter 75HP 4 cylinder engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. Of course, it’s not the fastest car on the market with a 0-60MPH of 13.2 seconds but its estimated 53.3 MPG is sure to make up for that.

The car will start at about $17.950 and feature regenerative braking, variable valve timing, and auto start-stop. Unfortunately Mini has no plans at this time to bring to car to the states.
