Toyota has been known to actively participate in sponsorships and with the new Toyota Venza coming up, their benefactor this time around is Alvin Ailey as the official vehicle partner at the red carpet and opening night performance of the Music Center of Los Angeles.

As the Official Vehicle Partner, VENZA paid homage to Alvin Ailey with an immersive live media art installation entitled ‘Are You VENZA?.’ The art installation featured Ailey archival photography coupled with sculptural elements featured in the ‘Faces’ TV spot, which debuted as the kick off of the ‘Are You VENZA?’ integrated campaign during this year’s Super Bowl.

The ‘Are You VENZA?’ art installation will appear in select markets: Houston, TX (March 27-29); Chicago, IL (April 1-5); Brooklyn, NY (June 9-14); and at Ailey at the Apollo! (May 5), a special benefit at Harlem’s world famous Apollo Theater.

Hyundai showed everyone its new Genesis Coupe ads during the Super Bowl. And these new videos came with corresponding music. The song played is “FOL” from The Smashing Pumpkins and in case you liked it, you won’t be able to purchase it anywhere just yet. But Hyundai is going to give it to you for free as long as you register your name and e-mail with Hyunday. Sure you’re going to give Hyundai your personal details but you’ll get that music. Unless you find some other ingenious method of getting the music.

Consumers will finally catch a glimpse of the much awaited advertisement of the Toyota “Killer Heat” Tundra during the Super Bowl. The 30 spot production will demonstrate the truck’s impressive capabilities by putting the Tundra in an against-all-odds scenario.

The award-winning Toyota Tundra campaign officially began with two actual demonstration spots in Super Bowl XLI in 2007, “See Saw” and “Ramp.” Following its Super Bowl premiere, a making-of video for “Killer Heat” will be available exclusively on www.howstuffworks.com and www.youtube.com/user/ToyotaUSA.

Tundra “Killer Heat” is one of two Toyota ads that will air during the big game; the other is “Faces” from Burrell Communications, Toyota’s African American agency of record, in support of the launch of the new 2009 Toyota VENZA.

When General Motors pulled out its advertising spots for the upcoming Super Bowl, you may have noticed a lot of foreign car manufacturers brimming with joy. For one, they can now get better exposure and more slots in promoting their vehicles and it looks like Hyundai Motors is taking clear advantage of that.

Aside from getting another slot, Hyundai is working on all cylinders to push its Hyundai Genesis Coupe to the max. With so much viewers bound to be watching the game, better placement of commercials that can help build on the lackadaisical showing they had when it was first aired in 2008.

The title of both commercials is “The Epic Lap.” Shot at Road Atlanta, the racetrack didn’t do much damage to the car. The company says the Genesis only needed a new set of tires after three days of filming.

Watch out for it!
