The Jetta TDI Cup Street Edition racing car will finally be made available come January, a concept race car that was initially shown at the SEMA 2008 in Las Vegas. It comes equipped with the TDI Cup Edition Kit which includes a front bumper, side skirts and rear valance. The Jetta TDI Cup Street Edition will also feature a 2.0-liter clean diesel engine loaded with 140HP paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Other notable enhancements include an 18” Charleston wheels with performance all-season tires, sports seats and a multi-function steering wheel that features paddle shifters when equipped with the DSG transmission.

We’ve seen several vehicles come out of high profile tuning garages lately, namely John Hennessey’s, but Roush engineering has brought something a bit different to the table; a propane powered Mustang drag racer.

The beastly 5.4-liter V8 engine based on the Ford GT engine powering this thing is capable of over 600hp all thanks to propane power.

The racer isn’t actually done yet but they plan on having it ready to race in the 2010 NMRA competition. However, we will get a glimpse of it sometime this week during the SEMA show, but that car will be based on a 2005 Mustang, not a 2010.

A few days ago we saw the Hennessey tuned Genesis Coupe reach output numbers of up to 500hp. Today we have another car coming from the tuning garage and this time it’s a 2010 Camaro.

Pictured above, this vehicle has a 725 hp and 741 lb-ft of torque making for a 0-60 of 3.5 and thanks to 15-inch Brembo brakes the ability to go from 60-0 in just 104 feet. Couple all of this with some carbon fiber body parts and 20-inch three-piece rims and you have yourself a very enticing vehicle.

Hennessey says we will see more of this vehicle at this year’s SEMA.

Besides the Ecto 1 we have the old Knight Rider present at SEMA 2008. KITT arrive to help our Mio sell its Knight Rider GPS system. The hottest thing about this, otherwise regular GPS, is the voice that guides you around the city. You are probably suspecting this already but the voice of KITT is giving you turn by turn directions. If you happen to be in Las Vegas you have to check out SEMA 2008. Besides the regular and concept cars, make sure you get a look at the Knight XV armored SUV. It’s based on the Gurkha military vehicle, the Ford F-350 Super Duty-based Knight XV will offer you some protection. The 10,000 pounds of armor and everything else is powered by a 6.8 liter V10 which will get you 400 hp and 500 lb.-ft. 40-inch tires wrapped around 20-inch aircraft grade wheels, ABS, E85 eco-friendly gas are just some other features you might be interested in.

In case you want one, make sure you are one of the first 100 buyers. The car will cost $295,000 so go check your credit line if you want one.

How’s this year’s SEMA treating you? If you didn’t make it to Las Vegas yet, we’re going to show you what your missing. Actually we’re missing it too, but we’re making up for all that live action.

Right here we have a new Passat from VW, the Super CC Performance Concept. The car will surprise you with a 2.0 liter TSI with a 3-stage APR turbo capable of Eco Mode, GT Mode and Full Power Mode. In Eco Mode you will get 222 hp, 236 lb.-ft. and you’ll average 33 mpg on the autobahn and 27 mpg in the city. GT Mode will get you 252 hp and 268 lb.-ft. while the Full Power Mode will get you 311 hp and 313 lb.-ft.

Are you ready for SEMA? Pontiac sure is and it has a wild concept for it. The Pontiac Solstice has bee seen before at the Sostice Weekend Club Racer back in 2005. The Solstice GXP-R has been seen in 2006. The Solstice SD-290 concept was shown last year.

The Dodge Challenger is one good looking car. A good alternative to Ford’s Mustang, the Challenger comes in hot. The 2009 Dodge Challenger convertible is set to appear at at SEMA. Unfortunately Dodge is not going to produce it officially so you’d have to get someone to tear down your Challenger and transform it into a convertible.

It costs $16,000 to do that but if you have that spare money around the house you should definitely go for it. There’s a 6.1 liter Hemi V8 inside that beauty which will get you around 560 hp and 690 Nm.
