Panasonic to Make EV Batteries?

Panasonic might buy Sanyo in the near future and Panasonic might just consider creating batteries for your cars. Alternative energy for future vehicles is a sure thing unless you’re sitting on an oil reserve. I guess Panasonic realized that too and its considering creating future batteries.
Sure Panasonic needs Sanyo to pull this stunt off as Sanyo has exactly the thing Panasonic needs. At least a plant that already builds car batteries for hybrid and electric vehicles. Sanyo builds batteries for Ford and Honda, the nickel-metal ones and for Volkswagen, the lithium-ion ones.
Let’s hope a future joint Panasonic-Sanyo hybrid battery will be cheaper than what we have already have so more manufacturers pick them up.
