Chrysler creates electric minivan for U.S. Postal Service

You know those white trucks mail carriers use to deliver mail? Yeah, well apparently those aren’t the most fuel efficient vehicles on the road, but that’s all about to change.
In leui of Earth Day (which is today if you didn’t know) Chrysler has announced that they are taking matters into their own hands showcasing the above vehicle, a fully electric minivan. Chrysler is set to provide 250 of these things for the Postal Service to use on their daily routes.
Autoblog is reporting that these will replace vehicles which only go about 18-20 miles a day so they won’t have range extenders like the concept cars they are based on. Either or, this is a great initiative by Chrysler to move towards a greener society so let’s hope more automakers follow suit.
