If you thought the Security X5 that BMW showcased last August was cool, check this one out. Recently announced as the BMW X5 Security Plus this car would be sure to make any owner feel safe inside of it.
The Security Plus features thicker bullet proof glass (which can withstand a bullet from an AK47), more armor in its body panels, as well as reinforced joints all around. It also has a modified suspension system, run-flat tires, an intercom system and to top it all off, flashing lights and loud sirens.
Under the hood this thing is packin a 4.8 liter V8 engine outputting 355 horposwer capable of sprinting from 0-62mph in 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 112mph. You’re probably saying 112 with 355hp, right? Well, Autoblog is reporting that this thing has an electronic limiter, bummer.
