Nissan North America formally revealed the prices for its 2010 Nissan Versa. The said vehicle is now on sale at Nissan retailers nationwide, oozing with significant exterior and interior enhancements plus some safety features. Here is the breakdown of prices according to models released by Nissan:

2. Versa 1.6 5MT ($10,990)
3. Versa 1.6 4AT ($11,990)
4. Versa 1.8 S 6MT Sedan ($13,100); Hatchback ($13,150)

• 370Z Roadster 7AT – $38,720

There are likewise two touring models coming out. The only difference is that these two other models carry a 6CD Bose audio system, XM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System, HomeLink Universal Transceiver, aluminum-trimmed pedals and power leather-appointed heated and cooled ventilated net seats. Finally the actual price for the 2009 Nissan NISMO 370Z has been revealed. Nissan North America has announced that the second-generation NISMO Z is now available in stores with a MSRP of $39,130. The new car is a dream for most sports car fanatics, carrying an aerodynamic body design, an 18 additional horsepower with sport-tuned suspension.

The 2009 Nissan Nismo 370Z is also equipped with a 350-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 and close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission with SynchroRev Match, a positively super-charged machine to carry on the Nissan name for power and excellence towards its demanding consumer market.

Standing pat on its commitment for supporting the American Indian College Fund, Nissan North America announced that it is donating $85,000 for its College Scholars Program. The new grant will fund ten tribal college scholarships and five mainstream scholarships for American Indian scholars.

Aside from this, Nissan North America, Inc. also provided $20,000 for the Fund’s 20th anniversary gala fundraising event to be held in Denver at the Seawall Ballroom, Denver Center for the Performing Arts October 28 to bring in further scholarship donations.

“Thanks to the support of our valuable corporate partner Nissan, American Indian college students will be closer to their dream of achieving a higher education so that they can make a better life for themselves and their families,” said Richard B. Williams, President and CEO of the Fund. “This support is even more meaningful in a time when so many are facing increased hardship,” Williams said.

Despite the turmoil befalling businesses today, you have to admire the efforts in maintaining its commitment to education and future executives of the world. Hopefully Nissan can sustain this program to help individuals and the economy as we all try to get by this unfortunate economic situation we are in today.

Another merger between Renault-Nissan and Progress Energy of Raleigh promises to develop advanced zero-emission vehicles. Nissan will introduce zero-emission vehicles in the United States in 2010, starting with a 5-passenger compact vehicle that will have a range of 100 miles on a single charge.

The announcement coincides with the Raleigh stop on a coast-to-coast tour of Nissan’s EV Prototype, a vehicle that’s powered by Nissan’s lithium-ion battery pack and zero-emission electric motor. While this vehicle does not represent the design of Nissan’s electric vehicle that will be sold in 2010, the EV Prototype is an indicator of what’s to come in zero-emission mobility.

“Nissan, through the Renault-Nissan Alliance, is committed to being a global leader in zero-emission vehicles,” said Dominique Thormann, senior vice president, administration and finance, Nissan North America. “Our partners in Raleigh share our goals of working together towards making the region plug-in ready for the introduction of electric vehicles next year. This partnership is an important step in making zero-emissions mobility a reality.”

Nissan North America today released the pricing for two of their vehicles, the 2010 Armada and 2009 Murano. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices start at $37,210 for the 2010 Armada 4×2 SE and $42,810 for the Armada 4×4 SE.

The new Armada Titanium Edition includes a full array of standard comfort and convenience features, including Nissan Intelligent Key, leather-appointed seating, RearView Monitor, Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System, premium Bose audio system with 11 speakers, power-folding 60/40-split 3rd row seat and auto-leveling rear air suspension. The 2010 Armada Titanium Edition has an MSRP of $42,140 for the 4×2 model and $44,940 for the 4×4 – representing savings of more than $2,500 over that of a similarly equipped 2009 Armada LE or SE models.

Available now for a limited time on the Murano SL FWD or AWD with Premium and Leather packages, the 360 Degree Value Package adds Nissan Intelligent Key, Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System, iPod adaptor, metallic-finish 18-inch alloy wheels, silver-finish roof rails and Murano’s signature dual-panel moonroof. The 360 Degree Value Package is priced at $1,450, resulting in MSRPs of $33,280 (FWD) and $34,880 (AWD).

ECOtality and Nissan North America are gearing up to help facilitate the the establishment of electric vehicle (EV) charge infrastructure throughout Arizona’s Pima County. In conjunction with the anticipated 2010 launch of Nissan’s zero-emission electric vehicle, ECOtality will initiate its EV Micro-Climate program in the Tucson region to promote sensible policies, intelligent deployment of charge infrastructure, and strong public awareness to foster the successful consumer adoption of grid-connected electric vehicles.

ECOtality, PAG and Nissan have committed to work together to establish an EV Micro-Climate Working Group in Pima County that will unite strategic regional organizations to help streamline the rollout of charge infrastructure and public launch of grid-connected vehicles. In conjunction with these efforts, Nissan has committed to make available a supply of electric vehicles to the region’s public and private fleets in 2010, the year Nissan’s electric vehicle will be ready for the commercial market.

While the implementation of public charge infrastructure is planned to support the launch of Nissan’s zero-emission vehicle, public charging stations in the Tucson region will meet all EV charge system standards (including the SAE J1772 Electric Vehicle Conductive Charge Coupler Specifications) to be universally compatible with new grid-connected vehicles of other major automakers.

The dramatically styled Nissan cube(R) has a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP)* of $13,990 for the cube(R) 1.8 equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Three other models are also offered: cube(R) 1.8 S, priced at $14,690 with the 6-speed manual and $15,690 with the Xtronic CVT(R) (Continuously Variable Transmission); cube(R) 1.8 SL, priced at $16,790; and the cube(R) 1.8 Krom specialty vehicle, priced at $19,370.
