And Now, The Ice Skating Evos

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

Three days ago, a group of guys got together and set up a video of themselves doing something only mildly stupid.  The results of that extremely mild stupidity can be found below with the video Ice Skating Evos.

Basically, they found themselves a parking lot, empty of any other car except themselves, and began to do donuts and slide around on the ice...in their Lancer Evos.

You can see what I mean by “mild” stupidity, as the chances of them getting in a serious wreck or anything in an empty parking lot is pretty low, unless, of course, they hit one of the light posts, which can be seen in the picture but are at some distance away.  So, chances are, they weren’t going to have any serious troubles from this as long as they kept their antics confined to a small space (as it seems like they did) and well away from things they could accidentally hit (as it, again, seems like they did).

It’s an entertaining video, but we don’t recommend you try it at home, so enjoy the video!

Lancer Evo X

Lancer Evo X

The 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X comes with an unbelievable all-wheel control system that makes the car handle like it belongs on a racetrack, not a highway—a feature that will be celebrated by the Lancer’s enthusiastic fans. Always marketed as a young, fun car to misbehave in, the 2009 Lancer keeps with that tradition offering real Recaro sport seats, 18 inch forged BBS wheels, and a Brembo brake kit for racer chic that makes just the right kind of noise.

The 291 horsepower turbo-charged 2.0 liter 4-cyliner engine is no slouch, providing the kind of power Lancer drivers have come to expect despite the extra weight from the all-wheel drive. The 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X comes in five different trim levels, so you can get exactly the look and optional equipment you want right out of the gate, and there are still dealer incentives and rebates available too. MSRP runs from $14,400 to $26,500 depending on options and trim package.
