Among the highlights of this new technology from Kia Motors include accessing media content via voice command and a 4.3” full color display that displays detailed information on media content. It can also double as a rear-view camera when the shifter is put in reverse. The UVO will debut this summer on the new 2011 Kia Sorrento CUV and is already present in other models like the Kia Sorrento, Soul, Forte and Forte KOUP.

But anyway, today we’ve got the new Kia commercial for their upcoming holiday sales event, and it’s a pretty nifty piece of marketing.

The commercial is directly below, and features the Kia Hamster, who you might have already seen on the Facebook campaign which we covered here back in August.  To be perfectly straight with you, it actually IS an adorable commercial, and will probably get at least a few people thinking “Kia” when it comes time to buy a new car, if for no other reason than they remember that hamster.

That’s all it really takes to start an ad campaign any more–just one memorable figure can latch into people’s minds.  And watching hamsters drive cars is definitely the kind of thing you don’t see every day, so Kia gets some bonus brain space because of it.  And it also gets bloggers like us talking about it for extra word-of-mouth points.

Kia Motors America unveils its latest vehicle to roll out at the West Point, Georgia facility with the 2011 Kia Sorrento CUV. The new 2011 Kia Sorrento CUV carries a modern CUV design fit for the common motorists of today. The vehicle can accommodate up to 7 passengers and is longer than previous Kia Sorrento models. It is available in 2 engine options, a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder and a 3.5 liter V6 engines, both complimented by a six-speed automatic transmission. Other features include AM/FM/CD/MP3/Sat audio system with SIRIUS Satellite Radio capabilities with three months complimentary service.
