Propane to save super-duty truck market?

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Everyone’s on the lookout for the most fuel-efficient car that leaves the greenest environmental footprint possible. However, when it came to superduty pickup trucks green is pretty much non-existent.

That could all change soon enough thanks to Jack Roush’s propane-injection kit. What you see above is a Ford F-250 fitted with the kit, producing 15 to 20 percent less carbon emissions than it’s gasoline brethren.

The kit isn’t exactly cheap though currently priced at $7,995, but the good news is installing it on your car will net you a $5,000 tax credit. Hey, it’s not much but in these times every penny counts.
