Matt Dillon Arrested at 106 MPH

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

For Matt Dillon, taking a rental and seeing how fast it could go on New Year’s Eve seemed to be harmless. But if you rev it up at a whopping 106 MPH on an interstate highway, you are not only looking for an accident but trouble as well.

Such was the case when Matt Dillon was apprehended for driving at top speed using a 2009 Chevrolet Impala on the Vermont interstate highway at around 10 p.m. He stands to serve a maximum term of three months in jail and a $300 fine for his troubles.

Dillon began his acting career when he was discovered in the halls of his Mamaroneck, New York, junior high school while playing truant. The former teen idol has worked for such acclaimed directors as Francis Ford Coppola and Gus Van Sant. He was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in “Crash”.
