Harman International has made good its promise to stay on top as the leader in automotive entertainment as it reports a successive launch of 13 major audio and infotainment platforms for the automotive industry. The list of car enhancements include custom in-car audio, navigation, hands-free communication and driver assist technologies.
Among the brands that have benefitted from this massive effort include marquee car brands like Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Hyundai, Mercedes, Porsche, PSA Peugeot Citroen, and Ssangyong.

Armed with the new Harman Kardon discrete Logic 7 sound system, premium audio can be expected for people who get the chance to own or just ride the Mercedes Benz S-Class. The luxury limousine features 15 optimally positioned speakers and a powerful 600 watt Harman Kardon DSP amplifier.
With 14 speakers and an additional tweeter added, you can just imagine the audio quality Harman Kardon has infused in the S-Class. The Harman Kardon premium surround sound system is perfectly integrated into the infotainment system of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class 2009, for which the Harman International Automotive Division is also responsible.
The text-to-speech function enables the driver to have traffic messages related to the route, station names, address book entries or SMS messages spoken out loud. The option to control the infotainment system using whole-word speech input also simplifies day-to-day use, with the names of countries, cities, towns and streets as well as radio stations or entries from the address book no longer having to be spelled.
