It seems that German tuning firm Karl Schnorr have recently gotten their hands on the Fiat 500 Abarth which we frist heard about back in February and have given it a bit of zest.

Karl Schnorr will offer 2 tuning kits, first a 185-hp $1,000+ Stage 1 turbo kit and a 197-hp $7,000+ Stage 2 turbo kit. Both kits will feature an upgraded turbocharger and exhaust system. Couple that with some aftermarket coilovers, 17-inch OZ alloy wheels and some fancy decals and you have yourself a winner.

Although German independent vehicle manufacturer Karmann closed its doors late last month as the company heads towards bankruptcy, latest reports say the move may not be final. Karmann has reportedly signed a $14 million deal with Volkswagen to assist with the development and supply of the VW’s future electric vehicles.

This info was first reported by Germany’s Neue Osnabruecker Zeitung, which claims that Karmann will use the funds to organize a restructured company with 1,600 employees. Neither Karmann nor VW has yet to confirm the reports, but there is a strong chance the two companies could join forces

E-Rod Roadster

The E-Rod electric roadster is the newest creation from German design firm Mileworks. Scheduled to go on sale Spring 2010, the new E-Rod has an advanced electric powertrain with a twin motor design churning out 230hp and 2,100Nm of torque. This twin motor design allows one motor to power each axle, which in turn provides four-wheel-drive capability.

A 32kWh battery is said to give the vehicle a range of over 120mi (200km) and uses a typical 240V and a 10-16amp European household power outlet so charging times should not take longer than 12 hours. This 1,000 pound retro-styled roadster that seats two will accelerate from 0-100km/h in five seconds and can reach a top speed of 200km/h. Full production details are  not yet confirmed, but Mileworks hopes to build 1,500 examples of the E-Rod next year and price it under $84,000

Seventy three year-old retired entrepreneur from Germany, Klaus Hammerschmidt, has just received the keys to his 135th BMW car. It is a brand new 507HP M6 coupe equipped with the Competition Package. This 73 year-old’s first BMW was a 1800ti from 1963.

If you were to sit down and do the math, that means he has averaged 2.9 BMWs per year. The break down looks like this: Klaus has owned 29 BMW Alpina cars, 26 BMW M-division models and 80 various other BMWs. What a loyal customer!

2010 Panamera Interior

Celebrated German audio company Burmester has teamed up with Porsche to produce a unique high-end sound system for the new 2010 Panamera. Each speaker in the custom system has its own separate amplifier, which can range from just 25 watts for the tweeter to a 300 watt subwoofer located in the trunk.

There is also an air-motion tweeter in the dashboard, and each amplifier is analog rather than digital for supreme sound quality. The outcome of all this technology is a sound experience second to none. For all that audio knowledge however, customers will definitely be paying for it since Burmester is asking close to €5,000 ($7,000) for the basic system.

Mercedes-Benz E500 Coupe

The new Mercedes Benz E-Class Coupe is a month away from its U.S. release but the first one was delivered to a customer in Germany today. The celebration, held at Mercedes’ E-Class plant in Bremen, witnessed Siegfried Möller taking the keys of his new car, an E500 Coupe in palladium silver.

Mr. Möller claims to have been driving Mercedes models for over 25 years and has received other cars from the Bremen plant in the past.  This new E-Class Coupe currently holds the title of world’s most aerodynamic production car. American buyers will have to wait until next month to take possession of their E-Class Coupes. The car will start at $48,925  for the E350 model, while the V8-powered E550 starts at $55,525.
