If all goes well with the technical evaluation of the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, we may soon see the European and UK release of the rear-wheeled drive coupe. This was revealed today as Hyundai Coupe has been put on an extensive evaluation program to determine the feasibility of holding an European launch for the said vehicle.

Although the top dogs over at Hyundai are convinced that the said Hyundai Genesis Coupe will be as successful in the UK markets, the best way is to approach it the proper way to avoid investing in a market where the car would be snubbed. Among the factors up for consideration are that of its right-handed navigation control and that of how the Hyundai Genesis Coupe would fare on UK roads. It looks like the Hyundai technical team have a lot of work to do if Hyundai is to penetrate a new market which could add to their list of Hyundai vehicle drivers.

If you think Hyundai Motors was crazy investing a lot on advertising during the Super Bowl, wait until you hear this one. Apparently, Hyundai is not slowing down and announced that they will launch its first national advertising campaign on Oscar Night with eight total spots airing on ABC’s telecast of the 81st Annual Academy Awards.

Building on the momentum of Hyundai’s Super Bowl advertising, Hyundai will again communicate three major initiatives during its airtime, including a significant addition to the innovative Hyundai Assurance program called “Hyundai Assurance Plus,” the “2009 North American Car of the Year” award garnered by the Hyundai Genesis, and the launch of the exciting new Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Hyundai has secured seven 30-second ads and one 60-second ad that will air during the Oscar ceremony.

All-new ads announcing the launch of Hyundai Assurance Plus will debut during the telecast. Hyundai Assurance Plus extends the security offered by the Hyundai Assurance program by adding 90 days of payment relief to the existing protection plan for consumers that finance or lease a new Hyundai between Feb. 23 and April 30.

The Super Bowl may be over but it looks like Hyundai Motors is not showing any signs of slowing down as far as its advertising plans are concerned. In fact, Hyundai will be power Jack Bauer of “24” with its 2009 North American Car of the Year, the Genesis sedan.

“Our partnership with FOX and its hit show ‘24′ provides a tremendous 360-degree platform to showcase our new flagship, the Genesis sedan,” said Chris Perry, director of marketing communications, Hyundai Motor America. “The unique in-show integration ensures exposure when the audience is most involved with the TV series, watching Jack Bauer in his perilous episodes, but the extensions allow us to build a relationship with consumers in the real world.”

The 2009 Hyundai Genesis is Korean manufacturer Hyundai’s first rear-wheel-drive vehicle, and also Hyundai’s first available large vehicle featuring a V8 engine. Genesis is about 6 inches longer in wheelbase and 3 inches longer than Hyundai’s Azera sedan. Genesis buyers can choose between two engines: a 290-hp 3.8-liter V6; or a 375-hp 4.6-liter V8. Both engines come standard with a 6-speed automatic transmission that has a manual shift gate. Safety features on the Genesis are strong and include ABS, traction control, an anti-skid system, curtain side airbags, front side airbags, and rear side airbags.

Heated and cooled driver seats are one cushy option, and a wireless cell phone link, a navigation system with hard drive for storing digital music files, rearview camera, and front- and rear-obstacle detection are all available at additional cost. The center console on the 2009 Genesis governs audio, navigation, and other functions. Later in the model year Hyundai plans to add adaptive cruise control as well. MSRP on the 2009 Hyundai Genesis runs between $30,000 and $35,000.

When General Motors pulled out its advertising spots for the upcoming Super Bowl, you may have noticed a lot of foreign car manufacturers brimming with joy. For one, they can now get better exposure and more slots in promoting their vehicles and it looks like Hyundai Motors is taking clear advantage of that.

Aside from getting another slot, Hyundai is working on all cylinders to push its Hyundai Genesis Coupe to the max. With so much viewers bound to be watching the game, better placement of commercials that can help build on the lackadaisical showing they had when it was first aired in 2008.

The title of both commercials is “The Epic Lap.” Shot at Road Atlanta, the racetrack didn’t do much damage to the car. The company says the Genesis only needed a new set of tires after three days of filming.

The Genesis Coupe form Hyundai is finally here. By here I mean Korea of course. Hyundai has a new commercial ready, which you have just seen above.

Placing orders for this black beauty will start on September 26th. Starting price is at about $23,000 for base features. Adding 19 inch rims, a limited slip diff and optional Brembo’s will get you a price of about $24,500 while a 3.8L V6 which brings to life 300 horsepower and will offer you a full leather interior will cost you $30,100.

The Genesis Coupe will arrive on U.S. territory sometime in 2009 for a price which is yet to be determined.
