Thanks to its continuous development and offering of new vehicles in the market, Ford has made great headway in improving its retail market share since December 2006. Ford estimates its retail share performance from October 2008 through March 2009 was the strongest of any major manufacturer compared with the same period a year ago.
Ford’s newest products drove the company’s retail share performance: the new F-150 pickup, Escape small utility, Flex full-size crossover and Lincoln MKS sedan. The sell-down of the previous-generation Fusion mid-size sedan also contributed to the company’s strong retail showing.
Growing awareness and consideration of Ford and its high-quality, fuel-efficient products are starting to take hold. Plus, through June 1, Ford is offering consumers additional reasons to “Drive one.”
The Ford Advantage Plan is effective on vehicles delivered from March 31 through June 1. The Plan offers payment protection up to 12 months for up to $700 per month on any new Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicle if a customer loses his or her job. Plus, 0 percent financing from Ford Motor Credit is available on select vehicles.

You can add another car receiver to the list of car audio rants with the Fusion CA-IP500 iPod receiver. As we have seen from previous posts, the demand today is for most car stereos to have the plug and play option as far as iPod or portable media interface is concerned. And with that in mind, Fusion has revealed its own version in this new iPod Receiver.
The Fusion CA-IP500 iPod receiver’s internal iPod dock is an interesting solution for taking digital audio on the road, but we’ve seen more elegant and similarly priced solutions from its more established competitors.
Price: $249.99

Remember the 2010 Ford Fusion and its hybrid version? We’ve looked at it at this year’s LA Auto Show and now we have some prices available. The 2010 Fusion S comes with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine and a six-speed manual transmission and will cost you $19,270. The most expensive of the Fusion line is, of course, the hybrid in the picture here. It will get you about 38 mpg and it will cost you $27,270. What do you think? Which one would you pick?

If you are waiting in line for a 2010 Mercury Milan well then go check it out at the next LA Auto Show. The car might look like a 2010 Ford Fusion because, well, they are similar.
The 2010 Milan will get you a new 2.5L four-cylinder which will come up with 175 hp. The 3.0L V6 will get you 65 hp more for a total of 240 hp. The 3.5L V6 will only be available with the Ford Fusion Sport, so go check out the new 2010 Fusion while you’re in LA. Maybe that’s the car you want.

The 2010 Ford Fusion and the Mercury Milan are going to get new powertrains. You’ll be able to choose from a new 2.5L four-cylinder, a 3.0L V6 and a 3.5L V6
The latest revision of Ford’s hybrid powertrain will end up inside your future Fusion Hybrid or Milan Hybrid next year. The powertrain is lighter and less expensive to produce. It’s also more powerful. It uses the same nickel-metal hybrid batteries. The battery pack is 30% smaller in volume than the Escape Hybrid’s pack and it weighs 23% less. The new battery pack uses it’s own AC system to keep things cool. The new hybrid will get you 38 mpg in the city or 5 mpg more than its competitor, the Toyota Camry Hybrid.

The 2010 Ford Fusion came up in pictures around the internet. And it’s not like other times when the Fusion was covered with tape. This Ford has been caught wearing nothing. That’s how we like prototype cars. Naked and willing to have their picture taken.
Ford has definitely thought about redesigning the Fusion and so it did. There’s a new grille and a front bumper design. The tail lights are also new with a reverse light placement. I guess we’ll have to wait for more official details to get the big picture. We might even see the Fusion at one of the next Motor Shows.
