What you see above is the Robert Lange’s Balanced-Over-Battery fully electric, tilting vehicle. Sure the car features a cool DIY look but the real gem is that Lange reportedly only spent $500 over the 3 years it took him to build this car. Of course, its made of recycled components but it’s still ridiculously cheap for the outcome.

Another interesting feature of this car is the tilting which is used for steering; the car will tilt left to right up to 45 degrees as the driver leans into turns while its batteries act as a counterweight. Also, the car uses a creative gear-box like system where it can be switched from 36 to 72 volts for added power.

How many times have you fantasized about driving a tank across your neighbor lawn? That might just be possible if you owned a Fiat Cinque Tank. Sure you’d end up in a police cell but years later you’ll have a great story for your friends.

The Fiat Cinque Tank in the picture above was conceived by an ironsmith, Mr. Kogoro Kurata. He managed to mount that famous Fiat 500 on top of some caterpillar tracks. The Tank works but you’ll probably get bored driving at only 3km/h. It’s still a cool do-it-yourself project which will look pretty cool parked in your back yard.

Ford has recently announced at their third annual Ford Racing Invitational that they will sell the body shell of their 2010 Mustang to anyone who wants it. These shells are going to be made available so racers who want to make their cars look like Ford Mustangs will be able to do so without ripping apart an already assembled 2010 Mustang.

Ford says that you will be able to order these shells in July and then recieve them in December after they are build in late-fall. The automaker also says that they have intentions to continue to offer these shells annually following the same order and build schedule.

No word on pricing yet but we’ll keep you updated.

It’s not everyday that we get to see a 1000-horsepower car, let alone a Porsche 911. You think that’s not even a possibility? Well then think again folks. A certain Tym Switzer managed to do just that. He has his own tuning company, the Switzer Performance Innovation of Oberlin, Ohio managed to develop a bolt-on tuning package for that Porsche 997 911 Turbo to get you Bugatti Veyron performance.

The supercar will get to 1000-horsepower and it will reach 60mph in 2 seconds. It will need 9.79 seconds to go through the 1/4 mile at 146 mph (video below). Want that in your 911? Go get those much needed funds to purchase one. You will be paying $49,990 for the 1000-horsepower Porsche.

OK, so the diamond Europa isn’t the car for you. No problem, we’re going to hit you with something else. How about this Hot Rod right here? A ‘33 Coupe kit is available from Factory Five for just under $20,000. By December you are likely to get the full kit. All you need now is an engine, a transmission and a rear axle and rolling rock. You could always strip them of a Ford let’s say, as long as it’s not a Mustang. You wouldn’t do that to a Mustang right?

The ‘33 Coupe will weigh around 2,110 pounds. With the right motor, you’ll have a killer car parked in your driveway.
