2010 Ford Taurus

The 2010 Ford Taurus is will be going on sale in September and if you reserve your car early, you can get discounts ranging anywhere from $500 to $1000. This incentive is to entice buyers to pay now (or at least book now) and then hold off taking possession the car till the beginning of September.

Ford is especially targeting fleet owners with these incentives, because, as we know every little bit can help in these tough economic times. The new 2010 model has improvements over the previous one, and the company is hopeful it will be able to meet its sales targets.

The maximum $6,000 rebates apply only to 2008 models, although lesser rebates are still available on 2009 models too. Chrysler is struggling to remain solvent while coping with a backlog of unsold 2008 vehicles at dealerships. Rumors of financial trouble at the Chrysler have been driving down already sluggish sales causing even more financial trouble for the Detroit giant.

The downward sales spiral seems to continue no matter what steps Chrysler takes. Recently Chrysler agreed to transfer a 35% share to Italian automaker Fiat, only to discover the next day that Fiat is losing enormous amounts of money too
