Nissan recalls 143,000 2008-2010 vehicles

Nissan has annouced today that they will be recalling a staggering 143,000 vehicles of the 2008-2010 model year including the Cube, Murano, Rogue and Infiniti M35/M45.

Apparently, there is a problem with a nut in the Tire Pressure Monitoring system that has the possibility of corrosion due to salted roads. If this nut were to corrode it could cause the system to malfunction making the driver unaware of a possible deflation. Just imagine, the nut comes out and the system malfunctions and then sometime after you get a flat tire and aren’t made aware of it. Safety hazard? You betcha.

Nissan says to head to your local Infiniti or Nissan dealership to get the problem checked out.

2009 Nissan Cube : Review

If you are in the market for a hatchback with added driving excitement the 2009 Nissan Cube is probably not a great choice with its non-athletic handling. While it’s pleasant enough for driving around town and on the highway its just average handling becomes obvious after a few rapid turns. The acceleration is better than most competitors, with the CVT-equipped Cube’s 0-60-mph in 9.7 seconds.

There is enough of space within its small footprint though and there are some pleasing highlights inside. The overstuffed front seats are comfy on hour-long commutes, but support begins to wither on longer drives but most adults should find plenty of leg room in front and back. All in all the 2009 Nissan Cube gives consumers another space-efficient, urban-friendly subcompact to consider when shopping around.

2010 Nissan Cube Coming in the USA

Well in case you won’t get that electric Mini E you might want to switch to a Cube. And how about a 2010 Nissan CUbe? The third-generation Cube has been launched in Japan, USA and Eurobe. Actual sales will start on November 26th in Japan while the U.S. will get it in spring 2009. If Europe is your favorite continent, the Cube will only make it there in fall 2009. Pricing starts at $14,968 for the 2WD and at $17,433 for the 4WD model. Why would you need 4WD on a car that small anyway?
