Folks, this has been one whopping bad day for cars.  First off , some guy blows up his Neon, then Danica Patrick can’t get on TV, and now someone’s gone and taken out a perfectly good Trans Am!

Ah well…at least they recorded the destruction so that we too could enjoy it!

First, a few words about the deceased–this was a 427 cube 2002 Trans Am WSG, with an LS7 block, L92 heads, L76 intake, and BMR / Spohn suspension.  And this was a beautiful car, too–not some rattletrap with a missing window like that Neon was.  You’ll get to see still pics set to music, along with some video of this car in action, and it too is beautiful.  I know I’m working the word “beautiful” awful hard here, but you’ll see when you see it–it really is a thing of literal beauty.

And the death of this car is downright tragic.

Also, the 911 Turbo can reportedly accelerate from 0-60 MPH in 3.2 seconds when combined with the Porsche-Doppelkupplung or PDK seven-speed dual clutch transmission and come with an optional dynamic engine mounts. The 2010 Turbo Coupe and Turbo Cabriolet will retail for $132,800 and $143,800 respectively.

If there is one hot car in the market that has been in hiatus, it is the Mitsubishi Evolution series. It has been some years now since we last saw the classy vehicles but brace yourself for the next generation series coming via the FQ line.

Mitsubishi announces the Mitsubishi Evolution X FQ-330 SS, the latest model that has been added to the FQ rally cars today. The Mitsubishi Evolution X FQ-330 SS can rev up to as much as 329 MPH with a torque of 322lb-ft. This in turn is supported by the SST Twin-clutch transmission.

For the many car addicts aching to find out how much the 2009 BMW Z4 is going to cost, well the long wait is over. BMW North America has just released the U.S pricing for the new 2009 BMW Z4. As expected, there is a price increase over the previous Z4 generation, but still significantly lower than the German pricing.

The entry model, BMW Z4 sDrive30i has a base price of $46,575 and the twin-turbo powered sDrive35i jumps over the 50k mark, more specifically, $52, 475. Both prices include the Destination & Handling fee.

The Cold Weather package costs $1,000 for both models, while the Premium Package was set for the Z4 sDrive30i at $3,900 or $2,800 if you’re buying the Sport Package as well. The Premium Package for the high-end sDrive35i model costs $2,500.

The Sport Package has a more complicated pricing scheme. If you’re buying the sDrive30i or sDrive35i without the Premium options, then the Sport Package is priced at $2,300. Include the Premium and then you’re only paying $1,900.

For those of you looking for the ultimate performance on your new roadster, the 19: wheels with performance tires are priced at $1,200 (available only for the sDrive35i). The new 7-Speed double clutch transmission is available as well only for the twin-turbo engine and it will set you back $1,525.
