The Audi A5 scored a couple of awards which should cement its hold in the luxury car market. The car emerged as a double winner, copping the Best Resale Value in the Luxury Car category and earning a spot in overall Top 10 Model list. The award is handed out each year by the Kelley Blue Book, assessing cars based on their original SRP and then re-evaluating the same vehicle after 5 years.
Known for being an established leader in the luxury coupe segment, the Audi A5 has certainly why it is one of the cars that offer the best value for your money even after the usual yearly depreciation which normally chips off a large chunk of the original vehicle price.

A large chunk of car accidents and collisions among teens are due to their lack of attention on the road. And the number one reason for this has been whittled down to these mobile devices called cellular phones. Whether it is a call or for sending a text message, it only takes a second to make a different for a driver to get into an accident.
Now, federal laws are tightening up, issuing a new law that will ban texting while driving. The ultimatum laid down is that should states fail to address this concern, concerned states stand to lose annual federal highway funding.
However, a Texas study demonstrates that certain teen drivers have fewer crashes via the use a certain product called Driver Ed in a Box. Parents who follow the Driver Ed in a Box program provide nine months to a year of extended supervised training to teach their teen to drive.
Driver Ed in a Box provides parents and teens with a complete, safety-oriented process for teaching the teen the techniques of collision-free driving.

Now that the Summer is here, the next thing you would need is to find an economical solution to address the cars you will be renting. Rather than reserve your cash for some other enjoyable means, a large chunk of it goes to the vehicle you will rent. However, thanks to Hotwire.com, some tips may change all that.
Here are some great leads to wiser car renting for the summer and it would be advisable to apply these as soon as you can:
If you see a good rate, reserve it right away. Prices are expected to continue rising through July and are expected to stay high all the way through August.
Rent on the weekends. When business travelers have gone home for the weekend, there is more inventory and lower prices for the consumer.
Rent away from the airport if possible. Off-airport and local rental centers can often be cheaper due to lower taxes and fees. Often, by sacrificing convenience, you can save money.
Make sure to fill up the tank before returning your car. Rental centers charge a much higher rate than you’d find at the pump for those who forget to fill up. If you don’t want the hassle, many rental car companies will also allow you to pre-purchase your tank of gas to avoid fees, but it’s still cheaper to fill it up on your own.
Book opaque. Although prices are expected to spike this year, by booking through opaque sites such as Hotwire, consumers can save big. Hotwire Hot Rates allow you to choose your car category and pick up and drop off times without knowing the exact car rental company in exchange for deep discounts – up to 40 percent and rates from $14.95 a day.

As far as the GM bankruptcy issue goes, the number of suppliers affected by the impending closure is countless. However, as a business, that is not all that General Motors has to worry about. Remember that for any corporation or business, debts go far beyond auto suppliers. Some may not even be aligned with the auto manufacturing binge something which was revealed as far as the growing concern on the GM row.
GM has over $100 million in debts, a large chunk of which is from the advertising sector. Date back and you will notice the aggressive nature of advertising and promotional practice that popular businesses undertake and General Motors is among that niche.
Among the company’s top 50 creditors, 10 are outside the auto or transportation industries. GM owes these firms just under $250 million. But they have to take a back seat in the bankruptcy process.
Given that figure alone, you can imagine why the GM bankruptcy filing is taking quite a beating. A lot of businesses stand to lose a lot from the GM mess. And mind you, not all of them are from car parts sector.
