Nissan Considers Inductive Charging for Its Future Zero Emission Vehicle

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

Nissan is apparently considering inductive charging for its future Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV). The idea is to park the car into a compatible charging station without having to worry about needing a plug for the vehicle to start charging. Another idea suggests that charging plates could be placed under the surface of the road which would make charging possible while driving.

We’ll know more about the ZEV later this summer so by that time Nissan will be ready to further explain how it plans to charge the car. Have you purchased your first electric car yet?

McDonalds in Sweden charge your hybrids

Monday, February 16th, 2009

It was recently announced that McDonalds restaurants in Sweden will begin testing an array of yellow-posts that do none other than charge your hybrid vehicle.

This comes as an alliance recently formed with Swedish company Elforsk which will provide the posts with enough juice given McDonalds pays for the installation of the posts.

This seems like a ploy from McDonalds to create a green image so people will forget that their food causes all sorts of obesity and malnutrition and remember them as the environmentally friendly fast food chain.
