The focus these days is on used cars. Now while there are over a dozen potential considerations that a used car buyer would have, color normally comes in second. But thanks to this trend reported by Autoquake.com, it seems that there is one color that is standing out among use car searchers and that color is black.

Autoquake.com revealed that about 65.9% of car searchers at their site were after black colored cars. The next color of preference was silver, a neutral color that can be fit for people who have certain preferences when it comes to color-themed vehicles for use.

Black portrays something classy and elegant and has actually been a popular color choice for any car to date, even with the brand new ones in the market. Thought it may have some issues as hard to maintain due to dust collecting when not in use, black has one feature that most people are looking for. This is the ease of waxing and revealing a quality shine that makes a car look practically clean and new.

Lastly, black seems to be ideal for any car of any brand to date. It may be among the primary colors but other than white, it is certainly something common but classy for cars that want to be counted among the elegant and elite looking cars we know of today.

If there is one thing that people would barely notice would be the change in car color preference during these times. Ideally, it would not matter. A car is still a car and regardless of the car color, they will immediately purchase it as long as they can afford it.

But as far as 2008 DuPont Automotive Color Popularity Report, white is the top vehicle color choice in North America for the second straight year in a row, with black and silver following closely. If you will notice, these are plain colors that are not that fancy. Apparently they are neutral or better yet, suitable under any conditions.

These three colors have been known throughout history. And apparently while new colors are coming out, it seems that they have a bearing as far as resale value is concerned, with reference of course to people who may later on consider them for resale.

At least for one year, new Hyundai car owners can worry less about the fluctuating prices of fuel thanks to this partnership between Hyundai and Pricelock. Pricelock and Hyundai have joined together to implement a new program which will lock the price of fuel to $1.49 per gallon for a year on select new car models under the Hyundai brand.

This event promises to help spur car sales in the midst of a faltering market that is being affected by the governing fuel prices which have made motorists ponder about alternatives (such as hybrids and electric cars). But with a year of no worries in price fuel, the program may just work. Also, who knows what would happen after a year’s time on the fuel issues plaguing the world today?

For the Hyundai program, Pricelock will issue car buyers fuel cards, similar to credit cards, which drivers will use to purchase gasoline at any of the 165,000 participating gas stations, approximately 93% of all service stations in the U.S. Using the Pricelock card, the car buyer will be charged $1.49 per gallon for fuel, regardless of the price on the pump. Of course, if the pump price is below $1.49 per gallon, the cardholder will not use the fuel card, but instead will pay the lower pump price using cash or a credit or debit card and still be able to participate in the upside.
