If there is one thing that people would barely notice would be the change in car color preference during these times. Ideally, it would not matter. A car is still a car and regardless of the car color, they will immediately purchase it as long as they can afford it.
But as far as 2008 DuPont Automotive Color Popularity Report, white is the top vehicle color choice in North America for the second straight year in a row, with black and silver following closely. If you will notice, these are plain colors that are not that fancy. Apparently they are neutral or better yet, suitable under any conditions.
These three colors have been known throughout history. And apparently while new colors are coming out, it seems that they have a bearing as far as resale value is concerned, with reference of course to people who may later on consider them for resale.
