Serra Honda Man: Scariest Superhero Since, Well, Ever

As the world economy now enters month five hojillion of complete and utter suck, you have to give the car dealers credit for their sheer willingness to try anything and everything to get you to come in the door.

So extra bonus props go out to Serra Honda of Birmingham, Alabama for bringing us Serra Honda Man, the Heavyweight of Savings.

Despite that clever intro, folks, all it really is is a fat guy in tights using some grade-school camera tricks to “fly” around, bringing savings and good deals to all.  Still, you really have to give them some credit for making the most out of a downed economy.  It takes a special kind of raw guts to wear something ludicrous like that, and this guy from Serra Honda definitely has those guts.

So kudos to you, Serra Honda Man, for taking the bull by the horns, going the extra mile, and giving us all a good laugh in the process.

Ford Mustang Continues to be America’s Favorite Muscle Car

For half a century, the Ford Mustang has been America’s favorite muscle car and will likely hold on to that niche for more years to come. The secret to Mustang’s longevity may be the devoted team of people who have worked passionately over the years to bring each generation of the pony car to market – never losing sight of the customer and always staying true to the basic tenets born with the brand in 1964: fast, fun and affordable.

During much of the Mustang’s “Fox Body” years from 1983 to 1993, the emphasis was on “fast.” The gas crisis was long over, and Team Mustang focused on the resurgence of the performance aspects of the Mustang.

On April 17, 2009, Ford and the Mustang Club of America will celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Ford Mustang with a four-day event expected to draw more than 100,000 enthusiasts and spectators to the Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala.
