A total of 3,136 Volvo S80s were recalled by Volvo Car Corp. due to a windshield wiper problem. Volvo said in a report to the GAQSIQ that it decided to recall those cars because of a deviation in the Central Electronic Module (CEM) software in its S80 model, which may cause the malfunction of the windshield wipers
Those imported cars to be recalled were produced between Jan. 24, 2006 and Jun. 4, 2007, said the auto maker. Volvo will inspect the CEM for free and upgrade related software.
