Auto Moto Joins the 3-Wheel Era

Monday, January 5th, 2009

The vast array of miniature vehicles which we can all trace towards enhanced motorcycles converted towards practical motoring solutions has been around and Auto Moto seems to be following the same concept using 3-wheel dynamics. At a glance, it looks like the standards tricycles or trishaws that conventional commuters use. However, take a little closer and you will find that the Auto Moto concept walks along the boundaries of an actual car and motorcycles today.

While we may be looking at economical means of transportation, the Auto Moto is a fabricated work of putting together logical modes of transportation via compact vehicles. Obviously being sacrificed would be the space accommodations of the conventional vehicles but car concepts made for two seems to be the practical trend for motoring today.

The Auto Moto is expected to be introduced in the market by April 2009. This vehicle is expected to draw much attention, especially consumers looking at alternative modes of transportation expected to save them on fuel cost and conventional mobility.

Lumeneo Smera Drives at 80 MPH

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

Cars are shrinking and a large part of the reason here is to save on fuel. Today we see a lot of concept cars that have practically shrunk, limiting seating capacity to 2 (includes the driver) and all coming in weird designs. The Lumeneo Smera is one of these weird but practical looking cars and from the looks of it, getting 80 MPH from it is bound to draw some attention for the people looking at alternative modes of transportation the economical way.

The little car is powered by two 20 BHP electric motors feeding off of lithium ion batteries capable of a rechage by way of standard domestic power outlet. The quoted 0-100 KPH time is 8 seconds, which for a super economy car is fantastic.
