Dubai, a destination and hot spot for most car manufacturers, will now focus on paying tribute by showcasing the various antique cars when they hold their first Burj Dubai Classic Car Show to take place next weekend (Feb 27-28).
What’s being billed as an annual ‘classic car competition’ is being staged by Emaar, the UAE Automobile & Touring Club (UAEATC) and FIVA (Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens – world-wide authority for historic vehicles), at Downtown Burj Dubai in the shadow of the world’s tallest building.
Organizers are promising a ‘veritable showcase of the finest showpiece vehicles from the past decades’. Each car on display will have a detailed description of its characteristics and ownership lineage and a jury of experienced classic car experts will score each car on the basis of originality, engine cleanliness, original car color, historical car value, finishing and aesthetics.
