Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang
Monday, June 22nd, 2009Forty-five years after he first introduced the original Ford Mustang, auto industry’s Lee Iacocca announced a new version of the celebrated muscle car – the Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang. It features a unique Mustang fastback look, only 45 of the “2009½” special edition cars will be assembled, each finished in a silver hue choosen by Iacocca. This the Iacocca Silver Edition Mustang is a joint effort by Iacocca, designer Michael Leone, and coachbuilder Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters.
The car is largely hand-built and features some unique elements such as the sunken headlights and a slanted grill. The car will be available with either a normally-aspirated 4.6L V8 rated at 320hp or an optional supercharged version that delivers 400hp. The car will first appear in late July at the Southern Californian Galpin Ford dealership.
