2009 Subaru Tribeca: Review
Saturday, March 14th, 2009The 2009 Subaru Tribeca is available in both five and seven-passenger versions, both of which are available in standard, SE, or Limited trim. They all share the same 256-horsepower, 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine, which drives all four wheels full time through a five-speed SportShift automatic with a manual shiftgate. The 2009 Subaru Tribeca has the right balance of control and dexterity, combined with an impressive hauling capacity for both people and gear.
When compared to other SUV’s the 3.6-liter H6 engine delivers competitive performance. The relatively low center of gravity and some careful suspension tuning results in responsive handling that makes driving the Tribeca a joy. The ride quality is smooth and comfortable. The controls are easy to locate and operate. The uncomfortable looking second row actually provides more comfort than it looks capable of. The overall result from this Tribeca is SUV functionality with a carlike ride, exactly what you want from a crossover.
