All right, folks, I’ve got video here of something purely awesome–it’s a turret for your SUV.  The video you see below will show it in action.

See, it’s designed for police cruisers and such–great for vehicles that need to breach gates and blow up improvised explosive devices and what not–but you can just about bet your bottom dollar that rednecks and survivalists are desperately trying to engineer one of these for their own now that they know it’ s possible.

The thing that really gets me is that you can actually not only spin the turret around from the inside, but also work the action of the weapon installed in the turret. Legality might be an interesting challenge, especially if you have a concealed weapons permit or something, but the possibility of theft is just huge.

The video below is a  combination of horrifying and awesome on an epic scale–so check this sucker out and gasp in sheer disbelief as I did at the thought of guns blazing from the top of an SUV.
