How do you like that big baby in the video here. It’s so pretty you’ll want to hang it somewhere inside your house and talk to it when you’re feeling lonely. Or you can get ready for that Nissan Maxima which will arrive sometime in 2010.
The 3.0L diesel V6 has been conceived by Nissan and Renault with both companies paying 50% of that development cost. The engine will feature all the latest diesel features like the 23,000 psi common rail injection system, EGR and a custom filter to eliminate soot. The engine will get you 235 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque if you were wondering about its potential.
Despite sharing the costs, Nissan will get about 75% of the total production. The engines will be used in Europe for the Infiniti FX and G series while Renault will install its engines in the new Laguna coupe.
