The first car manufacturer(s) you think of when you think heavy duty is without a doubt either GM or Ford. Well, that all could change thanks to Nissan.
Nissan has recently announced that they will try to take what Ford and GM has left by producing vehicles to take on the Ford E series, Chevrolet Express, Dodge sprinter and countless other light and medium commercial vehicles developed here in the US of A.
While Nissan isn’t expected to enter the market until 2010, GM and Ford better act fast to secure themselves as the go to for commercial vehicles before another over seas manufacturer takes their consumer base.

Seems like an odd move when you consider the fleet market is such low margin. Nissan has not proven very sucessful with it’s line of larger vehicles. Will be interesting to see if they have any success. What can they really bring to the table?
