V-Vehicle is a new car maker which is supported by Texas billionaire T. Boone Pickens. The company has also hired on Tom Motano, onetime Mazda designer, who designed the Miata. The cars are scheduled to be built at a previous GM plant in Louisiana and the company plans to hire 1400 workers to build the cars. Production should start some time next year.

The company is going to focus on making high quality, environmentally friendly cars, that are fuel efficient and will begin its operations in the US market. Additional investors include venture capitalists, Ray Lane and John Doerr. The owner of the plant, James Davison is also investing funds.
