New Cobra MkVI Roadster
One of Britain’s most established car companies, AC Cars, has announced plans for a new take of its classic Cobra roadster. The new MkVI will be a recreation of the original AC Cobra that has been designed from scratch. AC has partnered with Gullwing, an independent vehicle manufacturer based in Germany.
Connecting the gullwing doors is a new aluminum-hybrid body, which combines the raw metal with advanced composite materials. Power will come from a 6.2L LS3 V8 engine sourced from the Chevrolet Corvette and in the Cobra it is offered with two different outputs. The base ‘GT’ model produces 437hp (326kW), while the GTS develops up to 647hp (482kW). The GTS will hit 100km/h in about 3.3 seconds. No word on the actual cost of one of these beauties.
