This beauty has entered the ”Turin World Design Capital 2008” and has been partially designed by an IAAD art institute student. Well, yeah the designer Alfredo Stola from Studio Torino helped him a bit out.

It’s based on a Mercedes Benz SL roadster. The whole idea was to create the coupe from the roadster, without compromising its already existing great looks. And as far as I am concerned they did that and more! Unfortunately the Coupetorino is only a concept car and won’t be on the market soon. But the SLC supercar will, so, let’s just look on the bright side of life!

Oh, right in case you were wondering Studio Torino is the firm that brought us the wagon-esque Maserati Cinqueporte, the comically sinister Fiat 500 based Diabolika, and the Porsche Cayman-based RK Coupe. So hey, there is still some hope that something great might come out of this.
