Lloyd Ruby, racecar extraordinaire, passes away at age 81



Today all of us here at CarBuyersNotebook bow our heads to the great Lloyd Ruby who has recently passed away at age 81.

If you don’t know who Lloyd Ruby is, he was an Indianapolis 500 superstar who competed in every event from 1960-1977. Wikipedia lists his accomplishments as including 88 top 10 finishes and 7 victories. He even managed to lead the Indy 500 for a full 68 laps. Wow!

So let’s all take a moment of silence for Lloyd Ruby, a man who really made a kiling in the world of autosports.
