Gumpert Apollo Debuts at Geneva Auto Show

Standard motoring may not be familiar with the brand but expect Gumpert to be somewhere along the ranks of racing cars. Apparently working on their brand name, Gumpert will pull the wraps off the Apollo Speed, a fettled and faster version of its Apollo coupe at the Geneva Auto Show.

The Apollo Speed will feature revised aerodynamics and reduced ride height to allow it to sprint to 100 km/h in three seconds neat, and onto 200 km/h in 8.9 seconds before reaching a claimed top speed of 360 km/h.

Inside the Apollo Speed a removable steering wheel and four-point harness for the driver indicate that this car means business on the track, while air conditioning and a DVD receiver take care of the pleasure side of things. A choice of leather or Alcantara trim is also available.
