
With the current economic crisis still on you might be one of those former drivers that has decided to give up driving for a while and replace it with public transportation. And that’s quite a difficult move in case you haven’t really used any of those public transportation solutions. What bus you need? Which train gets you there? Well I know something that can answer those for you. It’s your Google Maps application that has just added a transit area layer to its terrain. That means you can view bus, train and ferry lines right there displayed on the map so you will have an easier way of commuting to work. 50 cities have received the update with New York being one of the surprising hot cities to be left out of this first version. Here they are:
